The “State of Reform: Bridging the Gap Between Healthcare and Health Policy” event came to North Carolina for the first time.

I spoke on a 5-person panel titled “Advancing Healthcare Through Innovation: The Role of AI & Emerging Technology in North Carolina”. The good thing was seeing policy makers (North Carolina HHS Secretary, members of appropriations committees, Deputy Majority WHIP, Executive Administrator of NC State Health Plan, state representatives, health committee members), plans, providers, tech companies together in the same room and sharing the same lunch.

Policy can often feel like it’s happening somewhere, and that no one hears you or cares about you. Today, it felt like it was happening in the Marriott Hotel in Raleigh :)
